Mackin performed preliminary and final design of the SR-68 roadway widening and traffic signal improvements, to reduce traffic congestion on SR-68. The project included the widening of a two lane roadway to three lanes, with a new center turn lane, new sidewalks, and over 70 ADA ramps to meet PennDOT ADA criteria. Traffic engineering aspects of the project included traffic studies, maintenance and protection of traffic, signing and pavement markings and traffic signals. Extensive utility relocation and design of an extensive new drainage system was required.
