This design build project involved the widening and overlay of approximately 1300’ of roadway to accommodate new and lengthened turning lanes to the existing businesses and to I-376 (Parkway West). The project was constructed in three phases in one construction season, with no detour. The project included signal revisions at two intersections, three phased MPT plans, signing and pavement marking, ADA ramp design, and erosion and sedimentation control. Mackin oversaw all traffic activities including traffic signal design, MPT and signing and pavement marking. The end result was much improved traffic flow and safety, and reduction of congestion.
