The State Route 31 Corridor Planning Study examined the impacts of land uses on the transportation network within this ten-mile corridor in Jefferson and Somerset Townships in Somerset County. SR 31 serves as a conduit to many regional attractions and the recommendations identified will enable the municipalities to address impacts related to increased traffic, safety issues, roadway congestion, and future development. Much of this anticipated development is expected as a result of resort expansions that will benefit from proposed sewerage extensions.
