The Lycoming County Municipal Corridor Plan project involved preparing future land use plans for two prioritized sites within Lycoming County. The first site was in the City of Williamsport and the second was in the Borough of Montgomery. Each Plan was designed to provide the City and Borough with goals and strategies to ensure that future growth and development in these brownfield corridors occurs in a sustainable and innovative manner.
Services included analyzing existing automobile and pedestrian access to and within the sites; identifying physical, political and business constraints to determine future potential for each of the sites; utilizing extensive public outreach methods to involve community leaders, residents and business owners; and determining how the vision for each site could be implemented and what partnership opportunities existed.
