Mackin lead a multi-disciplined team of designers, engineers, environmental scientists, landscape architects and architects to complete the site redesign. The project included master planning, site design, permits and preliminary engineering to reconstruct a parking lot site and former slag dump into a prominent and viable community park.
The project included environmental clearances, geotechnical investigation, field survey, park master planning and design, roadway engineering and design, natural stream restoration design, architectural design, and public outreach and participation. The project proposed green infrastructure for controlling storm water and a net-zero runoff solution.
