This project included conceptual design, public presentation/consensus and preliminary and final design and engineering for the completion of a streetscape revitalization plan. The project objective was to improve pedestrian safety and mobility; improve the sign way finding system; and improve streetscape corridor aesthetics and lighting. The project area included Greentree Road between Mansfield Avenue and Manilla Avenue, a primary arterial roadway & commercial business district in Green Tree Borough.
Specific services provided by Mackin included: the corridor and gateway design; Parkway Bridge improvement recommendations; pedestrian mobility survey; ADA, pedestrian safety, and bus stop improvements; traffic and way-finding sign recommendations; traffic calming and new traffic signal improvements; new lighting, walks, curbs, benches and landscaping.
