The Borough of Irwin Streetscape Project was funded through the Transportation Enhancement program and was administered through PennDOT District 12. The streetscape project included the revitalization of the existing Main Street in Irwin, a traffic study, trail feasibility study, environmental clearances, and permitting. The Streetscape improvements included decorative walks, ADA accessible route improvements, utility work, enhanced intersection design, improved traffic signing and way-finding, landscaping, ornamental gateway signs, and lighting. The project also included three gateway garden designs welcoming visitors to the Borough.
