Mackin's planning staff specializes in land use and community development, public
involvement, housing supply and demand, historic preservation, transportation
corridor analyses, and recreation services. Our goal is to help municipalities increase
local capacity to build upon their strengths, preserve sensitive resources, and
enhance community services. We complete projects for rural, suburban, and urban
communities throughout Pennsylvania.
During the completion of detailed planning studies, we examine current land use,
existing infrastructure, types of businesses and industries, population characteristics,
and economic trends. Conferring with public officials, civic leaders, and citizen
advisory committees, our staff identifies and prioritizes the specific strategies to revitalize
communities and ensure a vibrant and sustainable quality of life for residents.
